Aug 08: Saturday Night Failure (Tao, Las Vegas)

My original plan this night was to check out Tao since we didn't have to pay for an extra cover, and then hit up XS for the remainder of the night. I've been to Tao a few times and each time it's just gotten a little worse because of the hype, design of the venue, and the amount of people they try to jam in. I didn't end up going to XS because (1) I would have to pay additional cover; (2) I would probably have to take a cab; and (3) Ollie informed me it took them a little over an hour just to get in. F*ck all that. This will be a short post haha.

Jenn, Damo and I got ready in our room for the night. In Vegas, Friday nights are pretty chill. But Saturday nights you bring your cleanest/freshest/flyest/sexyist to the table. Damo on some Fonzworth Bentley bowtie pimpin'. 20 minutes later we figured out how to tie one.

Julz helping Brandon (another no homo shot?) tie a skinny tie.

Next level style. Cha, Julz, Edric, Noriza, Damo, Jhet, Brandon, Vince, Judy, Hanna, me, Jenn.

Tao Beach. Pretty damn crackin'. I found out later that 3 of my coworkers were somewhere at this spot. I wish I got a drink with them! =\

The main dance floor was packed.

So was the side room. F*ck this.

We snaked our way through the crowd to the exit.

XS seemed to be out of the question, so we headed back to the Palms in hopes that the admission would be free for guests.

Cha x Fels.

So Moon at the Palms was charging for cover. Fail. The group pretty much dispersed and ended up back at the Palms in waves. I chilled on the 27th with Bin and Mark Marcelo. Toyed with the idea of hitting up Sapphire, but nothing was movin'. I got a quick bite to eat at McDonald's, again. (Trip #5, wow.)

This was the scene on the 10th floor. This must be the most depressing Vegas picture I've ever seen! Sorry guys, especially all the first-timers and non-frequent visitors. We learned our lesson.

I got everyone to go downstairs and hit the tables up. The Palms casino however was weak in terms of size and variety. 5 of us put $20 down on black.
"I think we should play red, but I don't wanna play against the group." -Jenn

"19 Red!" -dealer.

F*CK.

Can tweets save this blogpost!?

"Back to my empty room with water and stale fries. Honestly, an appropriate way to end the night. Sorry SD. Tonight was major buzzkill lol." (@xjomox via Twitter)

Nope. Game over.
