First off, Happy Belated Birthday to my boy Duy Ngo from Norcal. Hope to see you back in Cali soon bro.
We left off the last post with me taking a nap after my extended night and afternoon at the Highlands and Chino Hills/Diamond Bar (909 WHAT?!). I only got about 4 hours of sleep and was in dire need of a good nap. So I passed out for about an hour when I get a rude awakening from Stephen. We headed over to South Coast Plaza to go denim shopping (in addition to being a master chef [see post 1, post 2, post 3], I'm a fashion connoisseur and consultant). Sorry no pictures.
We then picked up Eileen in Hacienda Heights and headed out to Old Town Pasadena to celebrate Will Lee's 23rd birthday. Look how happy he is.
Juliana & Eileen matching from head...
To toe... (Ewww, not a big fan of feet personally.)
We start the night off at Gordon Biersch Brewery. Will, Stephen, Eileen.
Stephen's weird face part 1.
Stephen's starving. Weird face part 2.
I told myself that since the summer is over I would be drinking less. Looks like summer gets extended for one more weekend then... These shots look like little glasses of beer.
We ordered some appetizers too.
MMMMMMM garlic fries.
Wang Street. (No racism.)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL!
Sunny made room in his busy study schedule to join the party.
When Stephen drinks a lot, he tends to steal. Fair warning if you ever invite this guy to your house for a party. He came out of the first bar with fistfuls of mints.
Outside there's a little plaza where they had these "wish trees" in platners. Basically you write a wish on a card and tie it to a tree and it comes true! So we of course wrote a few.
We also read a few others.
Funny one.
Clever one (but needs a few lessons in sentence structure and grammar).
Alright everyone in unison... "Awwwwwwwwww."
Moved on to the second bar: Barney's Beanery.
We met up with some of Will's other friends at the spot. Crowded as sh*t.
Stephen taking a stab at a classic. He sucked.
Sunny had a better run.
Then over to the last bar: Jake's... or Jack's. I don't remember. Juliana and Will requested that I take a picture in front of JOhnson's MOtorsports next door. I thought it was kinda epic. Maybe I'll put it on a t-shirt?
More shots. Yuck.
Games.
Me and the birthday boy.
And the birthday boy flaunting some clevage.
Will's friends were playing a few games of pool too, but I was running outta gas at this point and wanted to go to sleep. I was able to grab a quick nap in the car ride home and was rejuvenated in 20 minutes. When I woke up we were at the Garden Cafe in Diamond Bar.
Check out Will's facial expression. Nice.
I had my reservations about this place because I got really REALLY bad "food poisoning" about a year ago at the Garden Cafe in Alhambra. But I went with a safe bet and got the vegetable and pork fried rice.
I get home at about 4:00am and get in bed by 5. And so much for a "safe bet". I was on the toilet from 6:00am to 7. F*CK GARDEN CAFE! NEVER AGAIN!!!!! You also may have noticed that I'm wearing exactly what I wore the night before. That's because they were the only nice clothes I had in the car before I left for Stephen's. Lastly, thanks Juliana for some of the pictures!
More from L.A. soon... (Yes, L.A. again.)
