Drove down to San Diego for the weekend (surprise surprise) to visit the crew and to greet my brother from another mother a happy belated birthday (August 21st). It wasn't a crazy visit to SD like all my other visits. But I felt that I need to relax for the weekend.. Flo (Univ/Alphanumeric) and Jay (5&A Dime) (who's been feeling under the weather since the end of his trip).
The birthday boy Gian (5&A Dime) and Josh (SOULD). Thanks for the shirt Josh!
And Josie, my photographer in training.
We're trying to figure out dinner plans.
Roxy told Jay to have a pizza party. Done deal.
Heard of the 5 o'clock walk? Here's the 7:30 segway ride.
So we headed over to Huggsville to chill and order pizza. Josie's a trendsetter.
I"m pretty jealous Jay. You've got a lot of good things here: a huge shoerack.
A parking lot.
A great balcony view.
And chess! Here's Darcie & Mike (Grapes).
Where can I get one of these?
Roxy seems to have some kind of eye infection in her left eye which is why she's been giving the wink face to everyone. She also has scratches on her head and near her ears. Poor baby missed Jay.
Jay just got back from the Gumball 3000 rally which traveled through Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, North Korea, and China. He got some goodies.
Triple blast-guard action.
Big Gee.
Bebes.
He also got some Friendlies beanie babies and this sweet piece. As requested, the surprise will not be displayed on my blog. Be sure to check the 5&A Dime Blog for Jay's tales through the Gumball 3000 Rally.
"Guys. I was literally right there." -Jay
Time keeps on passing me by.
An hour and a half later (WTF?!?!) our pizzas and wang street finally gets here.
Afterwards, we headed to the Petco Park parking lot for the Southern Comfort festivities and more importantly, the free Common concert.
Randomly ran into my old coworker Bryan from UCSD Catering. WUTTUP ISHI!!
We met with some of the other peeps.
Julz (Mindzalike) gets a 10 for his middle finger. Eric gets a 3.5.
I spy Mark and his girl! Can you spot Terry?
Fel, Guil, and Annabelle.
Common put on a great show. The ambience was kinda weird though. But what can you expect from a free concert sponsored by SoCo?
Afterwards chilled a bit at Huggsville and then to Bumsville. Sorry there aren't any pictures. We just watched the Men's USA Basketball Team spank Spain and take the gold home! USA! Woke up and just chilled for a bit.
Just another start to another crazy week.
UPDATE:
Ended up not doing anything on Sunday but bum around. Meet Michelle's pup Meeya. We think she's lesbian.
Michelle.
Annabelle.
And a "rat".
And it looks like my crazy 2-trips-to-Vegas week isn't gonna happen afterall. Kind of a relief though. I CAN'T HANDLE THIS SH*T SOMETIMES! But that doesn't mean it won't be a crazy week. Stay tuned sportsfans.
