WQST Presents: Melanie Fiona Meets The Illadelphonics (A Live Remix Jam Session of The Bridge)
Melanie Fiona is another rising artist out of Toronto, Canada and used to perform with Drake back in the day at local venues (an R&B duet track or album with those two would definitely be something in my opinion). She also went on tour with Kanye during his Glow in the Dark tour through Europe and she didn't even have an album yet! Below are just the audio tracks from the mixtape. The full mixtape includes interviews with Questlove. Her voice over a live band is amazing. A great mix to chill to.
As a bonus, here's the first title track that's due off the Roots' next album, How I Got Over. They first performed this on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Black Thought showing off some soulful vocals. NEW ROOTS!
