Nov 30: Chargers Get Iced

Today I headed down to San Diego with Bruce, Earl, Stephen, and Jasmine to watch the Chargers take on the Atlanta Falcons. It would be my first Chargers game, and the first time I've actually attended a football game since high school. We picked this particular game because Bruce wanted to check out fellow BC alumni Matt Ryan in action. He's been tearing it up as of late.

This is gameday. Bruce picked up these tickets on Stubhub for less than face value. Nice.

We get down to SD around 11:30am, but we needed to grab some food. We were a little too late to meet up with the Wildboyz at D4 for the tailgate party. Maybe next time guys.

With no grill on hand, we kept it simple and grabbed some Costco pizza, hot dogs, and a pack of Coronas. Check out our makeshift cooler. Straight hood sh*t.

Last minute tailgating beats no tailgating at all.

Making our way to the stadium. That bottle is gonna come back to haunt him.

Did you know that Brett Favre played for the Atlanta Falcons? This guy did.

VIOLATORS! No glass on the premises. This almost ruined the day. But the cops were pretty nice about it and stressed that it's not a big deal and to enjoy the game.

The Q.

We were at field level seats, section F10, row 23. The view was awesome.

Bruce, Jasmine, Earl.

Bruce was getting a lot of crap from one of the "less restrained" (read as "drunk") Charger fans for rocking this jersey. And then the same fan would ask for a high five as a peace treaty. Sure guy.

Matty Ice.

The view from the 5-yard line.

Earl, Me, Stephen. Damn I got dark!

One of the Chargers last possessions. WE'RE ONLY DOWN BY 6!

Fail. We couldn't convert. You win Bruce. We left the game at the 2-minute warning to beat some of the traffic.

Good game, but an unfortunate result. Chargers fall to 4 and 8.

Afterwards I dropped by 5&A Dime to pick up some things and headed back to Anaheim. Sorry San Diego. God doesn't want me to hang out with you anymore.
